The Wells House Hospice Program

Wells House Hospice Program was established in 1997 to provide palliative care and interdisciplinary consultations for terminally ill patients and their families. Wells House Hospice's goals are to support and maintain a home-like environment where residents approach end of life with peace, comfort and dignity. Our services and activities focus on daily living and provide an opportunity for a superior quality of life.

Wells House Hospice Program services include:

• physician and nursing care

• psychological and spiritual support

• volunteers to provide companionship

Other services directed towards the terminal disease are determined by the highly-trained Hospice Interdisciplinary Treatment Team. These services can be provided in the patient's home, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, or Wells House Hospice free-standing hospice facility in Long Beach.

Hospice Interdisciplinary Treatment Team provides:

• pain relief through medication, physical therapy, and massage,

• personal assistance with hygiene, nutrition, and financial matters

• general care including complementary and alternative therapies
