Welcome to the Wells House Hospice Foundation

From its initiating activities in 1999, the mission of Wells House Hospice Foundation, Inc. (WHHF) has been to provide and support compassionate palliative treatment, hospice and end-of-life care, education and training. The objectives of WHHF are to:

  1. raise funds to support palliative treatment, hospice and end-of-life care for underserved and indigent populations;

  2. provide education and training in palliative treatment, hospice and end-of-life care to medical, allied health and human service professionals;

  3. serve as a Palliative Treatment, Hospice and End-of-Life Education and Resource Center.



Our Mission


Wells House Hospice Foundation, Inc. was established in 1999. The Mission is to develop fundraising and grantsmanship for programs in end-of-life/palliative care education and training; hospice care for underserved and uninsured populations and their families; and community outreach and continuing education in end-of-life/palliative care for medical, allied health and human service professionals in the Long Beach - Orange County community.


WHHF is a teaching affiliate of the

  2. Western University of Health Science, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific

  3. Cerritos College, Division of Health Occupations

  4. Long Beach City College, School of Health and Sciences
