Ronald Morgan, BS, ADM

Administrator

Mr. Morgan has long-term experience in nursing and health care administration and has been totally engaged in the comfort and care of the terminally ill.  A graduate of California State University Long Beach, Mr. Morgan is a specialist in utilizing and managing the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (IDT) in palliative treatment, hospice and end-of-life care.

Shelia Menefee, LVN

Admissions Coordinator

Shelia attended Concorde Career College and graduated in 1997.  Menefee began with Wells House in 2001 as a LVN charge nurse, and was promoted to the position of Admissions Coordinator in 2008.  She enjoys being a part of the Wells House family.


Elainne Bautista, LVN

Admissions Coordinator

Born in Camp Pendleton, CA, she received her LVN certification from Concorde Career College in 2007 and her BS in Health Science from California State University Long Beach in 2009.  Miss Bautista is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Nursing.  She also serves as LVN to Wells House’s community patients.


Kara Diego, LVN

Admissions Coordinator

She was born in Fairbanks, Alaska and received her LVN from Concorde Career College in 2007.  Miss Diego is currently pursuing her RN license and works with both our community and in-house patients.


Myriam Jimenez, MSW

Bereavement Counselor and Social Service Designee

She specializes in grief and loss, individual and family counseling, and group therapy.  A former secondary school teacher, Mrs. Nunez is a graduate of the University of California Los Angeles and California State University Long Beach.  She has conducted psychosocial evaluations and developed bereavement groups and programs at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, and is fluent in Spanish.


Barbara J. Woodruff, RD

Director of Dietary Services

She specializes in nutritional assessments, nutrition counseling, patient care and community education.  A graduate of California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, she is currently working at the Orange County Office on Aging and has worked at Fairview Developmental Center and Adult Day Health Services of Orange County.


Fleurette Faoliu

Director of Medical Records

She is a Long Beach native who attended Long Beach City College and graduated in 2006 with experience in post-partum and geriatric nursing.  She began with Wells House in 2007 as a charge nurse, and also serves currently as a community, on-call and in-house nurse.


Mary Tran, D.O.

co-Medical Director of the Wells House Hospice Program and Director of End-of-Life Education and Training

A Graduate of Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Tran has maintained a practice in Family Medicine and End-of-Life care for 15 years. She has worked at Los Alamitos Medical Center and Fountain Valley Regional Hospital Medical Center, Irvine Regional Hospital and Medical Center and Western Medical Center, Santa Ana.


Rev. Chris Carpenter, MA, MDiv.

Chaplain, Spiritual Counselor / Foundation Representative

Counselor at Wells House’s residence and to our home/community patients.  A native of Phoenix, AZ, he was ordained a Catholic priest in 1995 and served parishes in the Diocese of Phoenix until 2006.  Rev. Carpenter was Chairman of the Diocesan HIV/AIDS Resource Committee from 1998-2004.  He has been involved throughout his time in seminary and as a priest in interfaith and ecumenical relations, and received Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) training at Stamford Hospital in Stamford, Connecticut.

Rev. Carpenter also has a background in fundraising and grant writing, and serves as representative for the non-profit Wells House Hospice Foundation.


Diane Posson, CP.

Chaplain, Spiritual Counselor

Specializing in the spiritual needs of patients, families and staff members, she administers sacraments with approval of patients’ clergy, conducts appropriate ceremonies and reflections, and participates in patients’ memorial services.  Ms. Posson is trained as a religious education teacher and in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE).  She has served as a Chaplain at Long Beach Memorial and St. Mary Medical Centers.


Lorenza Apodaca

Activities Director and Volunteer Services Coordinator

She is a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) currently attending California State University Long Beach.  Miss Apodaca has been working with the elderly for over a year and enjoys her work very much.  She is also devoted to her family.
